In this moment I have just watched on television the last work of one of my favourite directors of commercials and videoclips. Chris Cunningham follows in the footsteps of David Lynch by shooting a lavish commercial for Gucci’s new fragrance, Flora. And the Donna Summer disco classic ‘I Feel Love’ was re-recorded specifically for the film, more ephemeral, more deeply poetic. Just as a matter of interest, he commercial was shot over four days in Latvia using a field of more than 20,000 fake flowers.
